"The personalization and communication were better than any tour company I've used in the past. I like being able to change plans when the weather changes or people in the group prefer a change.  And you were delightful to work with! Personal highlights:  Hike at the top of the mountain at the Junction of Austria and Germany.  That was my favorite hike; the views were stunning. The food was absolutely delicious, and having fresh bread almost every morning was so wonderful!  And the Italian restaurants were both amazing." - D.W.

"Having been on multiple international tours with major touring companies, Higher Up Tours is now my all time favorite as it felt like a REAL vacation!
Our small group of friends were ambling through some of the most awe inspiring countrysides I have ever seen while our guide, Theresia did the work of ensuring we did what we wanted, when we wanted and how we wanted.
We were given options along the way, every day. With regards to hiking, this allowed us to move along at our own pace, deciding for ourselves when we wanted to go on, stop for a brief rest or go back to our “home”. SO different than other tours
where groups are restricted to a schedule or specific route. This is the first time that I truly was able to live in the moment(s) while hiking as opposed to trying to keep up with those faster than myself or waiting indefinitely while others caught up with me.
Being able to choose where, when and what food to eat, we spontaneously stopped for ice cream and decided what type of restaurant to go to for a light snack or larger meal.
Higher-up stands out from others as Theresia dives into each day with a sense of adventure. Her constant attention to ensuring that everyone is enjoying themselves reminded me of how I felt as a child during summer breaks, when my best friend and I
would sneak away and play to our hearts' content without any parental interference.
She occasionally would gently encourage each of us to go just a bit farther and do a bit more, which everyone did without hesitation. This definitely allowed us to do and see things I never otherwise would have if I had let my adult insecurities cause me to quit when I thought I should.
Her enthusiasm for her surroundings was infectious, resulting in the feeling of wanting to jump into whatever she suggested. This made for a much more intimate experience with the people and areas we visited. As a result, our group experienced
outcomes that were wonderful and will be hard to forget. She did not tolerate exposing us to mediocracy and always dived into each day with a sense of adventure for the best in life, bringing us along for the ride.

I can’t imagine a better experience.
